Spring has sprung! It is the time of year where everyone starts to become aware of their appearance, how their bodies look and how they feel. Spring is the season of transformation and rebirth. Darkness becomes light; the rustic foliage begins to bloom with enchanting, vibrant colors. We are beings of nature so we mimic this cycle. We store up energy in the winter to sustain us. This usually includes heavier meals, less movement, and more burdens. There is also a shift of intention from the self to others as we indulge in the joy of the holidays during the winter months. It’s time to take off some layers and lighten up! Let go of what was and honor what IS and what can be! We are finite beings with an infinite number of possibilities. Don’t let your body become an obstacle in your path to progress!
I’m pretty much a very health conscious person, very aware of what I put in my body. I’ve realized though that to be healthy and feel cleansed you have to bring the mind into the equation, let go of what doesn’t serve you (which could be anyone, any place or anything) and have compassion for yourself. So this spring I challenge you to set one goal that rinses out something mentally toxic to your body or your life and create space & time for something that does bring you joy!
Some things that I AM DOING this spring are tapping into my Ayurvedic dosha and nourishing that with foods, spices, oils and supplements that support my bodies detox process. Those of you that know me, I am a big advocate of Young Living Essential Oils. I love to make my own skincare products that are natural and pure yet provide SOOOO many benefits and physical results. My skin has never looked better. Last but not least, writing. So you can imagine how excited I am to be sharing my thoughts, ideas and advice with you.
My intention is to empower, inspire and guide others in finding who they are and their happiness. I am not even close to making all the changes I want to make. I am just beginning this journey and always learning new things! I’m so grateful for what the practice of yoga has given me & my life and the caring support of the MOYO community.
I believe life is about finding a balance. You will find your own balance between your personal life, your family life and the rest of society. You will know what’s best for you if you just learn to trust yourself and honor yourself. I’ve learned more over these past 3 months than I could have ever imagined. It gave me a wake up call to keep learning more and changing things as I gain more insight.
Give yourself some space to figure out what’s best. Removing toxins from your life whether it is make up products, a particular food(s), a person, or a job can change your life!
