What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is the 5,000 year old health science from which yoga was derived. The literal translation of Ayurveda is “life knowledge”. This profound healing science from India works to restore natural balance and health through diet and lifestyle. Ayurveda has been found to have a dramatic effect on many chronic conditions and can help restore harmony between body, mind and spirit — creating true wellness.
Through universal principals, Ayurveda helps us to tune into nature. Based on the concept of unique, individual constitution (dosha) a person is able to develop an individualized approach to good health and true wellness. Through daily and seasonal routine and a wholesome diet, Ayurveda addresses the whole person according to his/her own natural constitution (prakruti).
Individual Consultation
Through personal consultation, I work to determine your constitution (dosha). Using the ancient art of pulse analysis, I am able to detect deep rooted imbalances and offer practical suggestions for regaining balance. The four main areas of concentration are:

*Breath work (pranayama)
*Herbal supplementation
*Yoga postures (asana)

Lisa Scarborough studied holistic nutrition through Clayton College of Holistic Health. She has completed a Yoga Alliance 200 hour yoga teacher training through Moyo Yoga Studio in Skippack, Pa. Lisa holds a certification in Ayurvedic Pulse Technique and is a lifelong student of natural health and wellness. My mission is to educate you in holistic health and self awareness. Through awareness you are empowered to take control of your own well being, learining to navigate the vast and often confusing realm of “holistic health”.
