Treasuring Our Routines

How often do we pay attention to the little things in our life? ‘Routines’ often have negative connotations. We eat, walk, drive, talk, and move in such ways that are thoughtless, and we are absent in how these actions are actually being accomplished. It doesn’t have to be that way. Routines can be pivotal occasions. Often, the subtleties and nuances in our lives are where the real treasures can be found.

Through softening practices like Yin Yoga, Sound Healing, and Yoga Nidra, we awaken the seeds of empathy, curiosity, and conscientiousness. Mindfulness practices are suitable for anyone, at anytime, and promote positivity in every encounter.

In a society based around productivity and forward-movement, it is essential to balance with grounding and silence. The practice of yin equips students with mindfulness tools, as well as a gradual acceptance into complete presence.

Sound Healing uses vibrational wavelengths to travel into your physical body and release energy blockages. It quickly induces a meditative state in which one can easily relax and tune into their highest Selves. The power of Sound Healing will assist a deep feeling of released tension and uplifted energy.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative poses are passively held yoga poses, using no muscular effort, continually allowing you to let go of holding yourself up. The Relaxation Response (a physiological change in the body which causes the Rest and Digest to kick in) is a key part of this practice. Restorative Yoga is a great compliment to an active yoga practice or lifestyle, as well as for those returning from an illness or injury. It supports the healing process and is open to all levels of yogis and non-yogis alike.
